We just bought a memory foam topper last month and love it. After having to sleep on the guest bed one night, I turned around and ordered one for it too (and the sleeper sofa). We need a new mattress, but I wasn't wanting to do the research and spend the money just yet, so this was a great solution.

I got ours at overstock.com. It's the same price no matter the size. I took the hint of some of the reviewers and bought the larger size (for guest room's full bed, I bought the king) and cut it down so I could have extra foam for making neck rolls and cushions and pet beds! Check Overstock's prices before you go to BB&B....may be cheaper. I got the 2-inch, 4-lb density (deluxe) Serta for $81. They have 1" through 4" available in Serta, and there's another brand or two that might be less expensive.

I got the 3" from overstock and I LOVE it. I recently slept in a hotel and tossed and turned all night because I am sooo spoiled now.

I also bought mine from Overstock and used it on my old mattress. My back got so bad that i broke down and bought a new set a year ago. Love my new set, and no longer need the topper. But it did help for the year I had to use it.

I bought a 1" Talalay topper at Overstock that was only $59 after shipping and my 25% coupon. It is soft and if the surface underneath it is very firm, it is comfortable.

EDIT: Sorry meant at Brylane Home on the Internet. I love the fact that this topper has no smell and no glued seams.

I got a memory foam/microfiber topper from Costco and LOVE IT. It's encased in a removable (washable) cover that fits over the mattress, like a fitted sheet. My only complaint is that it tends to shift on the bed, but it's easy to pull back into position. I think it might have something to do with the two labradors that wrestle on the bed while I'm at work, tho...

I also just bought a memory foam from Overstock - the 4", 4lb. one. Still waiting for it to be delivered :)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think your bed is to blame for your aches and pains. Been there too many times and the right mattress will do wonders for aches and pains!

For ease of trial and return, I'd recommend costco or Sams. They have several styles of toppers that you may want to try.
I'm not sure what BB&B has in stock...........

Another fan of mattress toppers from Overstock. I had been dealing with sore hips and shoulders for about 6 months before I broke down and purchased the 3in 4lb Serta one and I am amazed at how much better I sleep.

Worth every single penny I paid.

I can't imagine a return but it would be difficult to get it back in the box for shipping to Overstock.

There is nothing in the world better than memory foam, make sure it is dense enough, and the only place to buy is overstock.com BB&B will simply rip you off twice as much money for less density or thickness, and I now have them on all beds even in our RV..from overstock, mine came very fast and under $3.00 shipping no tax..

We got ours from Costco for the same reason. Lots of back pain and shoulder. Anyways they are a great help BUT they do retain heat and make you feel too warm. Costco now carries one that has a cool top layer I think that would be great, for me anyway.

As for getting the topper quickly--mine from Overstock was ordered on a Monday and arrived Wednesday morning. Now that's quick delivery. Also, you can usually find a free shipping coupon for overstock, thus saving the low $2.95 shipping fee.

If you find the topper making you too warm at night, get a thickly padded quilted top mattress pad to cover it. With that, I've not noticed an increase in warmth.

Please tell us where you find the shipping coupon for overstock. Just received a coat a few weeks ago from them, and had to pay $2.95 for shipping. Not a alot of money, but if I had free shipping , that would be even better.
