Those all sound like things I would normally want. For some reason this year I don't want things. Told DH to arrange a night out - arrange babysitter (sister or sil), don't ask me a thing - just do it and if Led Zeppelin tours which I think they will then that is the night out - get Led Zeppelin tix - I don't care what you have to do! LOL Otherwise a broadway show and dinner works.

I need a replacement for the 25 year old griddle pan that finally gave up its handle. I told ex to have my daughter get this for me. She will actually use this more than I will.

I'm out of storage space so I can't get much in the way of new stuff. I wouldn't mind all new plastic storage stuff so I could toss the old. And I want a replacement for my favorite mixing bowl that I broke not long ago. It wasn't anything special, no marks. I probably bought it at a thrift store 30 years ago. But it was such a great shape and size for using with my hand mixer.

We've agreed to not gifts this year, but I have to admit I really would like to find a replacemant piece for the missing salad plate of my Franciscan Madeira. Yes, yes, I know it's nothing special and oh-so-very 1970's, but I do like those dishes!

Not quite something you'd want to add to your list, though. LOL!

Replacements.com has 24 of them for $10.49 each. I know there are other places that sell that kind of stuff as well. I have also had good luck looking on ebay.

Dh got me a cool handheld milk frother from Restoration Hardware. I think that $20 gift has already saved me $50 on lattes!

I'm so ashamed. What I really want is an Aeroccino. It's basically an overpriced, plug in milk frother. It's so stupid but I'm just so tired of the whisk & saucepan method. The idea of being able to start the milk while I start the coffee & have endless au laits? sigh...

You guys are cracking me up with the milk frothers. Where was all this want when I was literally giving them away? LOL!

Experience with replacements.com....they have "regular folk" stuff, too. But DO check to make sure that what YOU read as "4 pieces for $x" is really four pieces! I ordered what I thought was 4 pieces of something for $10 and it turned out EACH PIECE was $10...I was going to be out $40! I called them and they told me to ship them back and they'd pay postage if I wasn't happy. And I was NOT a happy camper at all!

I turned around and bought the item in question on eBay ... got 12 pieces for $20. I was happy.

I told my husband, I got my Christmas present this year when we redid my kitchen. I got another one when the doctor told me that my biopsy came back as "non-cancerous". But we looked at some of my old utensils and stuff that went back into the new kitchen, and I came up with a new list. A new kitchen should not have yucky utensils!
