Gas pipe preventing slide in from going far enough back

Just wondering if anyone else encountered this problem. We have a new build, that came gas ready. I bought a slide in gas range, and had the builder cut the countertop (laminate) to fit the range. We noticed that the range didn't slide back far enough, but were replacing the countertops with granite, so we didn't worry about it. The granite is now in, was cut for our stove, and no huge surprise, there's a 3/4 inch gap at the back. The gas pipe (the rigid one) seems to be coming out of the floor at an angle, preventing the stove from going far enough back. So now I'm looking at having that piece of granite (thank goodness it was a separate piece joining to larger pieces) replaced with a wider one. Anyone else have this problem?
