This is a warm caesarstone kitchen. It doesn't have all those exact elements but it has a warm color scheme. You can do the same color backsplash in glass and the same floor color in tile and buy shaker doors etc.

I am happy to help. I am a little confused. Cream, Green
and Gray painted cabs or just one main color?

I do not have just one photo that would cover all the
other elements of brown and yellow. I will show you want I
have.

What color quartz? What color for the floors?
You mentioned a wood floor, what about a flat or matte
finish. I have dark wood with a matte finish and it does
not show dirt nearly as much as my old golden oak stained
shiny gym floors.

And forgive me if I am totally confused about what you are
looking for, Just tell me and I will find more pictures.

Baquinn, the focal point of that backsplash is definitely Sonoma Tilemakers. Tantrum, Sonoma Reserve, etc. I don't know if the large subways are Sonoma Tilemakers or not.

boxerpups -- How did you do that? Do you just have a huge collection of kitchen pics saved away or are you a designer?

We are looking at a similar color scheme, though we think our green will be more of an accent color rather than a main color. Got anything with oak floors (which we have and are keeping), stained rather than painted cabinets (we are also leaning towards something Shaker-ish), and green accent color (in counter or walls or backsplash? Appliances will be either white or stainless. We're just sure they won't be black!

floor - I would love to run my wood into the kitchen but know we will be harder on it than most people and it is soft birch. You will see it in the attached family room so I have to take it into consideration. Tile is the best choice an we're thinking a large tile such as a porcelain slate as long as I can find something with a muted warm tones that is not too busy looking. So far no luck but I have a picture of a mudroom tile from an old magazine I love. I'll try to post it.

Cabinets - I think mostly cream with painted island or all lowers painted different colors . The cabinets in the fourth photo with the bleached floors are perfect.

counters - I think brown tones but I love grey ( husband not so much)

#1 - love but too modern overall
#3 - great mix of natural elements with fun color
#4 - love cabs, counters, stools
#5 - love lighting, stools rustic table with modern chairs, otherwise a bit too fussy
#7 - great colors, beautiful backsplash.
#13 - great clean look

All others nice but but bit too traditional -

Honeysuckle vine -I looooove the tile in the first caesarstone photo. I agree a bit dark otherwise but overall a great look.

I think I have to get the floor sorted out and go from there. The next most important will be the tile since I want something really great.

What do you think?

Here is a pic of our porcelain tile. It is 20x20. We really love it, it may be too busy for you though. It is made by Ceramica San Lorenzo and the color is called Durado. We got it at Flo*ring Gallery (Flooring Warehouse is the same store).

I would pick the countertop first and start from there.

or pick whatever colour or element you love and build off of it. have you a favorite plate, rug or painting which you want in your kitchen? pull your colours from it and you have a starting point at least.

albemi I think you would like a creamy quartz counter and large square tile to go with it. E.g. 24" square in a similar creamy or greigey beige color. There are no pictures of this combination. Then, to go with that: Ikea creamy birch shaker drawer fronts and doors and frosted glass doors on the upper cabinets, with fluorescent lights in the cabinet floor panel. My hunch.

Choose a favorite ____ and everything will fall into place.
When you choose something to "Go with" something else
you are forever trying to play catch up and 2nd guessing.
will it go with that or this or both of those???
Rather than have a confidence about your favorite choice.

I started with cabs. My favorite cab (in my budget), then
floor color choice, then Back splash and counter last. Yup
I already knew I wanted to keep my simple BS before diving
into a counter choice.

Great advice everyone. It's really wonderful to check in and find people are actually interested in my kitchen woes.

You are right . I'm definitely stuck on flooring because it's a big chunk of the budget and because no matter what I pick , I'm not really getting what I think will look the best ( wood). I have decided I really like the look of large tile so that really narrows things down. We have seen slate that we love but I feel it will become the focal point and everything else will have to be neutral thus limiting my choices for backsplash etc. So now I'm thinking.....we've always wanted a stacked stone fireplace and have been debating cutting that due to the flooring costs. Should I go for it, pick a stone and then let everything else follow from there? Are you suggesting I leave the floor choices until the end?

BTW kristine,I like that floor. Have you got a view from further back?

My advice is to pick what is important to you first. I choose my cabinets, then my floor,then my countertop and lastly my backsplash.
This tile runs thru the kitchen, mudroom, foyer and laundry...so I really wanted something I loved! I too was going to go with wood, but backed out at the last minute. With 3 kids, we are just too messy to have wood in the kitchen. We did go ahead and put Brazilian Cherry in our living/dining room and it is beautiful.

I have Kraftmaid shaker style Muslin cabinets/mahogany silestone countertop/glass backsplash (copper)/ copper tin ceiling and tannish(?) porcelain tile floors. If that sounds like something you are interested in, let me know and I will post pics tonight (I'm currently in the office, sorry)
