Hot Water heater recirculating pump

I have a 75 gal. direct vent hot water heater which is so miserly, that it takes a long time to get hot water into the Master Bath, located on the opposite side of the home. Someone told me I should use a recirculating pump which sounded like good advice to me.

If so, what sort of pump is used to accomplish that and where can I get a diagram of how to install it? Also, I take it I would then have to insulate all the hot water pipe I can get access to in the basement to avoid losing energy/heat.
