tiny leak in kitchen faucet spout

Our basic, 5 yo, Delta single-handled, chrome faucet (Model 300-WF?) has a few tiny spots of corrosion on the spout. Not sure what caused the corrosion--maybe when I was cleaning with vinegar & baking soda, or maybe jalapeno juice/seeds. The water does not spray out, but drips from one of the spots, on the side of the spout about 3/4" from the stem, and drips down pooling at the base of the faucet. The rest of the faucet is fine--took it a part and replaced o-rings thinking that was the problem , only to find the true source after putting it all back together,.

Is there non-toxic way to plug the hole? Is there somewhere I can buy a replacement spout? When I looked at Delta's website, it seems this model has been discontinued.
