Grohe Ladylux 3 Positioning warning

If you are trying to center this faucet, as we started off to do yesterday, be aware that the central "tower" or riser of this faucet IS NOT CENTERED IN THE CENTER OF THE FAUCET HOLE. In other words, if you have a pre-drilled center hole sink and install this faucet, the tall part will be 3/8" off center.

First of all, don't panic. If you aren't sensitive to this kind of thing, you won't see it at all because of the styling of the handle. With the mass of the handle to balance it, it will appear normal to most people (including me).

This becomes an issue is if you were trying to match the center of the faucet to something else in the kitchen or you are very sensitive to small differences. The difference in location of the faucet is very small - a placement shift of about 3/16".

This is a planning-layout problem. If you're aware before hand and you want the tall part of the faucet to appear - say exactly centered on the sink - you can drill the faucet holes a little bit "off center" to accommodate it. If you want the faucet to appear centered in a window and the sink has pre-drilled holes, you might need to move the sink slightly or perhaps choose another faucet.

We are installing the ladyLux 3 33 version and wouldn't swear to it, but the body of the faucet appears to be the same across the entire ladylux 3 line so if you are thinking of a different model, you might check for this.
