There's something wrong with my computer... the video won't load properly. I'm sure it's a glitch on my end, so I'll have Larry take a look at it when he has time. When I moved my desk and set up my computer again, I removed the speakers... I couldn't stand all the dings and other noises, especially from the instant messengers! They drove me nuts! I like to enjoy my coffee and surf time in silence! Kristi, you've reminded me that it's way past time to re-pot some of these bulbs and bulb youngsters I have! A few of them must be choking to death in their tiny pots! And yes... all the discussions we've had on soil really made a difference... I was forced to take a deeper look into the how and why of root growth... healthy root growth... and re-think my approach to mediums. I think I've got a good compromise going with the mix I now use. And my persistence paid off... I finally located all the ingredients I need... locally!

Since it seems that 'consensus rules' here, I guess I can learn to 'go with the flow' and join in with the postings. Why fight it right? I think people realized that I had made my point. ------ All the links the OP posted, went to stories about how a mob beat a guy rather than just calling the police with a suspicion that he was in the neighborhood walking down the street. They could have called 911 and if they "wanted to help" then followed him and kept a good eye on him until the police arrived in a few minutes to apprehend him. Another innocent man was savagely beaten the same day by those who thought they had the right guy. Today is another day and thousands of children will be raped today. None of them will get a party and a parade, or be awarded a "princess plaque". None of them have a "Little Angel Fund" set up by Bank of America. Those kids need solace just as much as this girl does and there is no one to give it to them.

Robo, it sounds like you had fun! I missed this post so I'm glad you gave an update. Mayflowers, thank you so much for the colored salt jar idea. That can be one of the crafts I do with my grandsons next time we do a sleepover. My DGSs spent the night last night. I got out my markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, graphite pencils and an assortment of papers. While they were working on their drawings I was playing music. My oldest DGS asked if it was Beethoven. As soon as they were finished with their project they had out their iPads and were listening to Whip NaeNae. I videoed the oldest DGS doing the dance and we sent it and pictures of their artwork to Mom. Bedtime is still a problem with the boys, they are only fifteen months apart and they pick on each other unmercifully at bedtime. I'm going to order a cot bunk bed for them as the second queen size inflatable mattress bit the dust.

Find your closest Michaels Arts and Craft stores and then go nuts!! A huge assortment of supplies tailored specifically for kids of varying ages. You name it when it comes to arts and craft supplies and they've got it!! Prices are very reasonable, IMO. And get her one of the new "adult" coloring books :-) Even though she says she doesn't need one, she will be fascinated by the patterns and details these offer - I've yet to meet a real adult that wasn't very taken by them. I've been into arts and crafts all my life and draw copiously but I love these things!! btw, this was my first request as a child when asked what I wanted for my birthday - art supplies!! I'd include: Prismacolor colored pencils - come in sets of just a half dozen or so to dozens. Probably your most expensive investment but worth every penny. A simple water color paint set with brushes. Or acrylics. Scissors Drawing pencils and an eraser. A smallish sketch pad A selection of colored tissue paper or printed art paper (often sold with the scrapbooking supplies). A set of gel pens or colored markers. Elmer's Glue or modge-podge at least one very good black ink pen, like a fine line rollerball. LOTS of paper - newsprint as well as printer paper
