flex 5600 economider discharge

I have an flex 5600 econominder water softener system that I would like to use the discharge water for irrigation purposes. Does anybody know what the discharge water is composed of and/or how to filter this discharge water for use in irrigation purposes?

    I don't think the salty water will be good for the plants
    buti could be wrong.....
