Hard boil your eggs
cool,and cut in 1/2
scoop out yolk,carefully,saving the white

Mash the yolk really well(or place in bag and squish up well),add a couple of Tablespoons of Miracle Whip,or mayo,whichever you prefer,add a squirt of mustard,shake of salt,pepper and a wee pinch of garlic(optional)
I also add a bit of chopped parsley for color.
Mix well,best to mix in a plastic bag,then you have little or no mess...cut tip of bag corner off,and squeeze into whites.
Can decorate the tops with a touch of paprika if you choose
Refridgerate.

I just like mine with Hellmans, little bit of mustard, dill pickle relish (not much) and always a thin slice of olive on top!

Hi Jamie, some people make them so they are sweet, and some make them tangy/slightly sour. We prefer the latter. I make them pretty much the same as ont gal, except I add a VERY small amount of vinegar. For a dozen eggs, maybe about a teaspoon (start with less and taste), although I never measure.

My Mom makes her devilled egg filling with the egg yolks (of course) miracle whip (never mayo, we are a Miracle Whip family) , salt and paprika. I also add a little pickle relish and maybe a half teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

I do it like Ont gal.
I have topped with a slice of green olive or bacon bits. With the bacon bits its best to eat that day, the bacon gets icky to me. Usually we top with lots of salt and pepper! LOL

I make mine with just Mayo, salt and pepper mixed in with the yolks - I always top mine with just a little Cayenne pepper cause I never have Paprika.

If I had my druthers, I would love this!
Uptown Deviled Eggs
Never had them, but they sound fabulous!

6 large eggs
2 tablespoons crème fraiche or sour cream
1/2 shallot, very finely minced (about 1 tablespoon), or to taste
2 teaspoons capers, finely minced
Salt and pepper
Dash of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon minced fresh chives or dill
Top with American Caviar**

I cook the eggs,add mayo,yolks crushed fine,mustard,paprika,sugar,mmmmmmm love em.

The last time I made them for the Senior Pot Luck, I mixed some Horseradish sauce in with the mayo and some chopped cooked shrimp. Then put a small shrimp on top with a sprig of parsley. I saw on Paula Deen that if you boil one extra egg and mash one whole egg in with the yokes, it gives you a little extra filling so you can really mound it up on top. It really worked. They looked so pretty. Dottie

i use a pastry blender to chop up my egg yolks. then add miracle whip, spicy mustard, black pepper and a little paprika.

and my dh is hard to live with after these!

Mash egg yolks, add mayo, dry mustard powder, seasoning salt, some pepper and about a teaspoon of dill pickle juice. Sprinkle tops with paprika.

My aunt used to make them just like ont gal said to but she added a little dill pickle juice too. I use garlic dill.

I like mine tangy, so I use mayo (Best Foods), mustard, dill pickle juice, salt, pepper, and paprika. I, like Glenda, always put an olive slice on the top of mine too.

Ok -- I don't make deviled eggs [I don't eat eggs] -- but I did see a receipe that show the eggs cut in half - the 'other way' . Of course, I can't tell you how they were displayed - but egg plates only come scooped out for the horizonal cut...

We like a bit more flavor from our "red" sprinkle..so I use Chili Powder..love it over paprika. Unless of course it's Smoked Paprika.
