This afternoon I was cleaning the pool and watering the blueberries, lemons and limes that grow inside the screen enclosure and noticed that my back yard needed an air traffic controller. It was just alive with a couple hundred robins, bluejays, mourning doves, cardinals and a couple of pileated woodpeckers, oh and three squirrels. I ran out and filled the birdbaths (shame on me for letting them get empty). We watched them from 3:30 til 5:00. They were in the old ficus tree and the live oak.

I'm still waiting for the hummers to find all the salvia that's in bloom.

It was a great day in the garden.
