Hi, I didn't start yet! Turns out I need to do the big company orientation (even tho I am employed by the temp agency) and there isn't one until the 16th. Today I have to do a drug test and health questionaire. AT least once I've done it I will be good to go to do another job in the same company once this one is over. The job is basic secretarial and answering phones, managing someone's calendar. I have to dress business casual, which will be nice after wearing jeans for 5 years, but I am digging through my closet remaking and taking in some things (and getting rid of too small, sigh). And haunting the thrift stores for blouses, the one nice thing I wore out while wearing jeans. That is why I haven't been here much. I still apply for "regular" jobs when I see one, but I usually don't even get an email saying "sorry we don't want you", just nothing. I've interviewed for 2 temp jobs and the people are so thrilled to see me which is a nice contrast. Kathy

Any time is a good time to apply Compost tea. The time of day is not scientific/proven that I know of. I just personally feel evening is better. Theres really nothing you can do about the Chlorine in your city water/irrigation. Some of he microbes may be killed off, but plenty will still survive. It is good/recommended to de-chlorinate the water before brewing as you did. It gives the microbes a fighting chance. If your lawn is small and manageable, I recommend spreading compost by hand. But, for a large lawn, this could be back breaking. Thats why alot of people spray compost tea. Im not sure about the quality of compost you bought. I do know that the best compost needs a proper ratio of carbon-rich materials, or "browns," and nitrogen-rich materials, or "greens." Among the brown materials are dried leaves, straw, and wood chips. Nitrogen materials are fresh or green, such as grass clippings and kitchen scraps. All of which can be made in your back yard.

I've worked for regular run of the mill temp agencies, and the interview process was pretty painless. I had to take a typing test, and probably other tests, but I don't remember very well as it was quite a long time ago. The people were very nice - it's their job to be nice, but I think they were nice, anyway. I bet this will go very well for you. I wish you the best of luck. Sally

Beth H. : thank you. He made the countertop himself out of 2 3/4" plywood and we bought formica 180fx laminate for the counters (and done the ideal edge) and used the same 180fx for the backsplash. I know alot of ppl don't like laminate, but I actually do and I do alot of food preserving and canning and the backsplash washes off so easily. With hubby doing all the work and making everything himself the total price of our whole house remodel came to $20,000. And that included, 6 new windows, 2 full baths, a kitchen, and flooring.... (during covid with prices more than double on alot of things. So we saved quite a bit! Overall, I love the way it turned out! And I'm extremely proud of my hubby!
