HAVE: Frontline plus for dogs/cats all sizes
Comments (10)I work in a veterinary hospital, so the Frontline is not expired, as we order it quite frequently. We have not heard ANY complaints of the Frontline "diminishing in effectiveness", I use it on my animals and wouldn't trust anything else. I'm not here to get into a debate over which product works best - I'm just trying to make some trades and not get burnt (thank you plantermunn for the advise). I did not sell under any other name, it was a couple years ago - before the rates and reviews were up and going I believe. If it would make you more comfortable I can give you email addresses of the 10-15 people I dealt with at that time that were more than pleased by our trade - not an issue just let me know. I can not attest for anything bought off of ebay, but my the Frontline I am selling is legit....See MoreFrontline Plus
Comments (6)Thank you for the answers. I called the vet today and talked to a tech. He said that several had called with the same problem. Vet was checking to see where the supplier was getting the Frontline. Although it was the same supplier he had used for years. Yes, from the vet, applied correctly, correct dosage. No fleas today, checked and combed twice. Cannot treat the yard, 2 acres fenced. Have closed the dog door so she can only go out with us for a few minutes at a time. Tech said not to redose untill 4 weeks and to watch Sam, the cat. I combed him twice also. No fleas....See MoreFrontline plus-can a allergic reation occur?
Comments (7)I'd report the reaction to the vet where you got it and see if other patients are having the same problem. I've not seen any reactions with Frontline Plus as far as vomiting at all. I have seen some animals get a greasy-looking streak for a day or 2 following Frontline Plus application- my own short-haired dogs get that, not the Huskies though. I've seen some cats get red skin with several different products including Frontline +. Are you really scrubbing the skin to get the Frontline off and could the red be irritation from that? I always divided the dose among several spots rather than try to put the entire dose in one spot. I get much less run-off that way....See MoreIngredients in frontline plus
Comments (17)I have divided the dog dose for the cats. The only difference is the Methprene is not as strong in the dog version. This is the ingredient that stops the flea/tick reproduction capability. So far I haven't had any problems with the exception the cats come home with a tic or two around 21 days post application. They were waiting until around 26 days to attack my critters, when I used the actual cat vial. Since you can only use every 30 days anyway, I don't see the problem. They will still get tics with it on, my vet says they die quickly. I can get 4 cat doses from one medium dog dose. I have to find my notes to remember the proper dosage. NO!!! you can't use a whole vial of the dog one on a cat!!!!...See Moremurraysmom Zone 6a OH
