JoAnn's 99-cent pattern sale; Mar. 29

I guess I'm a hypocrite. As much as I dislike JoAnn's and their anti-customer care attitudes, I love their occassional 99-cent pattern sales.

JoAnn's will have Simplicity patterns on sale for 99-cents beginning March 29. The sale will last three or four days.

I have 18 Simplicity patterns noted in the "wish list" of my iPod's Sewing Kit App. Better crafting through digital aides!

Nine of the patterns are actual "needful things;" three are vintage and will have to be found through Internet connections, if at all, and I'm still pondering the other six.

I mean, really, am I going to construct a Civil War-era hoop dress - recreated from an actual dress that now resides in the Wisconsin Historical Society museum? Still it's interesting to read about.

I'm also waiting for the Butterick patterns to be on the 99-cent sale...I have 17 Buttericks in the digital "wish list." Six are them are destined to live in my sewing room; one is vintage, and the other 10 are just fun to think about.

On the other hand, regarding Simplicity 3727, I already have the patterns for the hoop skirt, petticoats, chemise, corset, and pantaloons. These patterns were also drafted from actual mid-1860s garments. How fun is that? I suppose another 99-cent pattern won't cause a collaspe of the sewing room!
