I saw that when it made the rounds on FB months ago. Very funny, if you've watched a lot of the Toddler & Tiara shows you'll pick up on all the subtle nuances. I was ROTFL. I am a closet T&T watcher, yet another show DH cringes over whenever he see me watching it. He doesn't get why I watch most of the shows I'm hooked on...Real Housewives, Hoarders, one dumb show after another. lol

It takes a lot to get me to turn off a movie but I've definitely done it. I'm trying to convince myself to do it more often instead of suffering through something. I sometimes either fast forward through just to see what happens at the end, or otherwise occupy myself (go through the mail, sew on a button, etc.) while letting the movie run, just in case something good actually does happen. One movie I was forced to sit through because we were watching it with friends and they wanted to finish it, but that I would have definitely turned off was Rachel Getting Married. OMG was that a horrifically painful and boring movie. I'm a huge fan of Coen Brothers films so all the ones mentioned above that people hated, I loved. I guess I just have the same sense of humor as they do. Also, Moulin Rouge, it took me about 20-30 minutes into the movie to actaully "get it" but once I did, I fell in love. I also watch a good number of foreign films. Subtitles don't bother me and I've seen some really good movies that I would have otherwise missed. Language and violence in general don't bother me. However graphic personal violence where we're forced to witness one person making another suffer on screen is not tolerable to me. I agree about M. Night Shyamalan too. And if you don't like him, don't see The Happening (his latest). I hate preachy movies that "warn" us of all the bad things that will happen to us if we don't start taking care of the earth. Ick. I get the vast majority of my movies in dvd form from the library. I have access to two public library systems and between them I see all the new releases and lots of oldies, indies and foreign films. I do have to wait for some of the more popular movies but I don't mind. I reserve movies on line, and pick them up at my local branches on the way home from work when they come in. It's free and I get to keep them for 2 weeks.

Shawlin, That happened to us, except it was on a 10 hour trip and we were about halfway there before it started, and it was during a Christmas holiday. We had to stop at a gas station after our toddler had thrown up yet again, but this time it was on her pillow... she was trying to keep the puke from dropping off the pillow, but then we hit a bump and SPLAT! Now she was covered in puke, it was dripping off her hair. Hubby asked the gas station attendants to bring out the hose and while he sprayed down her car seat, I took her into the bathroom and tried to wash her hair in a gas station bathroom sink... you know the kind where the faucet is really short and the sink is small? By the time I came out of the restroom the nice gas station employees had coned off the area with yellow caution tape. I felt SO BAD for the mess, I was apologizing profusely, and they were SO NICE. I can't even recall what state we were in by then... it was a nightmare. During the family reunion, there were about 20 of us, and only me and one of my sister in laws stayed healthy through the whole reunion (we weren't the only family who came in sick) and we spent the every day cleaning with bleach. LOL! We actually all have a lot of great memories from that trip though... we can all laugh about it now.

I was 2 1/2yo when the show debuted, so the exact audience it was aimed at. I watched it throughout my childhood. I recall deciding it was hokey at some point, but that is what is supposed to happen, we outgrow and move on. Then recently I watched the documentary “Won’t you be my neighbor” and realized what an amazing human being he was. His expression of empathy and understanding is something that is missing nowadays. I won’t go see the movie as I feel like the big screen is best for action or sci fi, I like dramas to be viewed at home. I’m sure we’ll see it when it comes out on pay per view.
