Testing: Posting Pics

I am practicing my pic posting skills. I think I get it. I just cut and pasted an HTML blog entry of mine...sorry for clogging the board with this...but I think some of you might enjoy the pics. And I want to see if I can actually post pics without Flickr or Photobucket.

If you share some kind of fetish regarding the inanimate, you might understand the sensations these graphic images stir in me.

These days, there is nothing that gets me more excited than the site of a large slab of white statuary marble. You have no idea.

High ceilings, lots of lovely natural lighting, weathered and light wood. A bit formal for my taste, but if this kitchen is ever in the mood to slum it for a night, give me a call!

I try not to look at the sink. It is ordinary and fine but does not belong in this kitchen. But look at that long and narrow white marble topped island. Mmmmm.

While out of my price range, I enjoy the simple "design within reach" look of this California bungalow kitchen. Humble yet pristine. A good hand holder.

Windows, windows! And the perpendicular pattern of the wood floor. And the farm table. So nice and warm. Let's cuddle.

Wide open. This kitchen is the kind you can take home to meet mom and dad.

How very rich.

Generally, I am not a fan of floor tile. But mercy mercy me, the things I would say I would do on that tile if I didn't have to worry about being a role model for kids. This kitchen is HOT!

Too pretty for a long term relationship, but this kitchen would be fun just to casually hang out with.

Walnut stain on alder, coffered ceilings. Way out of my league. Still, I wouldn't mind getting this kitchen drunk and having my way with it.

OK. I am 100% certain that if we did a cheek swab of you and Boxerpups we would find a genetic connection.

I love the Hibiscus flower! The color is truly amazing! Very eye catching! The succulent is very bizarre! Cool! I can't wait for the day our greenhouse construction begins! We've had this thing sitting in boxes for about a year, but since it's more than poor Larry can handle, we have to wait until time and help dictate it gets priority status. It ain't looking good until sometime next summer... oh well. I'd rather have it put together the right way. Thanks for sharing, Larissa!

Link works for me on my desktop. Looks great Pete! Thanks for the photos. I agree, there is something great about watching a tiny tree grow into something substantial. The majority of my plants started as puny mail orders. Only now have I started buying larger size plants and stretching my plant budget.

Then I must be dork number 2 for I loved your post!!! LOL!! It made me smile....and I love those kitchens. Now what really gets me excited are wooden countertops....just love them. I would love to have them in our new home but I am afraid of water sitting on them - so that means our kitchen will be for show only!!! HAHA!! Thank you for making me smile. Take care, Colleennc

Thank you for sharing these. Enjoyed very much, especially the tiled floors as we have decided we should do tile and I have been having trouble finding pictures of good looking kitchens with tile -- seems most have wood. Thanks again!

Please can you give me a brief run down on how to post pics? I feel very silly, but I can't seem to work it out. I would also like to know if it is alright to post inspiration pictures found online? I would just like to give people a better understanding of what I want for my new kitchen.

Regarding Posting Pics, to those who need help:

Have you checked the "Read Me" thread? It has step-by-step instructions for Photobucket (and general for other photohosting sites). It even has pictures to show you where to get the HTML code from.

Remember, paste the HTML code in the "Message" box, not the "Optional Link URL" box.

(The "Message" box is where you type your message.)

Thanks for posting these pictures sabjimata, I just got my color samples today and can give my husband a visual of light painted tops and dark wood base cabinets...they are not easy to come by!

Hey there! I am seriously surprised to see that anyone bothered to look at my post and then actually comment on it! A happy surprise, of course, because this forum is great fun and it is definitely a treat to get to know you guys online.

Glad you guys enjoyed my writing. My husband is getting a little nervous about my kitchen fetish. But hey, a little competition to spice things up in the marriage never hurt! And it looks like our loans may be going through so a summer fling is possibly coming my way!!!

Colleen--Wouldn't it be great if we could have a show/model kitchen and an industrial workhorse kitchen? Oh..where do the fantasies end???

Jterrilynn--I love that look! and it really makes the kitchen more affordable if you go with a dark stain instead of painted cab on the lowers!

Buehl--You are always right on top of it. Thanks for the advice, it is because of you that I figured out I don't need a photosite account in order to post pics...just the html code.

RJR--I am adopted, so it is always a possibility ;)
