Thanks for all the comments, you folks are too kind. Mother Nature did all the work, I just snapped a few shots. We've had more snow since then - the front wheel of the bike is completely buried now - ugh! The only sign of spring around here is the paperwhites I picked up on clearance and planted. It sure was fun to watch them grow - could almost SEE them growing, they really took off! But, no one warned me how awful they smell, oh my goodness! Not a pleasant smell at all and they are stinking up my whole house! And lastly, here's what we've been doing all week:

Hunnerbun, I love those macros of the frost! Laurie, hoarfrost sure is pretty and your pictures of it are great. I especially like your second one. Echoes, sorry you had to endure freezing rain but it sure does make for some great pictures! I really love your last one. It almost looks like a fancy chandelier! Here's some of mine that I took give or take about 2 weeks ago. Ang

Westelle - please do! There is a "join this site" in the left navigation bar on the blog to make it easy for people to follow the blog and get notified of new articles. Flora - Thank you so much! I have done some social media work and writing as part of my last couple of jobs but it was small side work compared to the main focus of the job - IT support, websites, graphic design. Perhaps I will keep an eye open for such work as where I was working fell on hard times and laid off all the staff just before Christmas. Where one door closes another will surely open! Love the nettle article too - many thanks! FataMorgana

Just wanted to update on the snowstorm tonight just in case our power goes out & I can't post tomorrow. The storm has already dumped close to a foot in my yard and it's coming down fast & furious at 11:30 p.m. It's supposed to go all night and til around noontime tomorrow. I've been watching the weather channel and it's crazy how much snow is coming out of the storm for such a widespread area. The wind is getting pretty strong up here and when I put on the spotlight the trees are bowing down with the weight of the snow. They are saying at higher elevations there will be the most amounts so I expect when I wake up in the morning I will be in for a shock. I notice that the Weather Channel focuses mostly on the metropolitan areas in their coverage. Those of us in tiny rural towns are getting huge amounts of snow. I see there are already some deaths related to the storm and I hope there will be no more. Jean, my husband works weekends so he will be at work tomorrow whether he wants to or not. He owns the local hardware store and also fixes power equipment so he was swamped by folks desperate to get their snowblowers fixed in time. Snow shovels were selling off the shelves...LOL. My son works the overnight shift at our local police department and when I talked to him a little while ago he said there are cars off the road everywhere. People just weren't expecting snow in October so they don't have their snowtires on yet. Everyone in the path of this NorEaster, please be careful! Celeste
