Oh my Lord Nick! Sorry I've been MIA for soooo long!! "A day at the Groomer's"= I've been a groomer of dogs and cats for 22 years. Doing some show grooming of said dogs and cats as well. There are some good days and some bad days. Most of my bad days involve cats! Let me say it doesn't matter how much money that you spend on a show cat, if they feel like being a freak that particular day...there is going to be some hell to pay and the groomer is the one that pays. There are few groomers that even want to touch a cat. I just happen to one of the fools.I'm always amazed to get phone calls from cat owners that want to know why it's so hard to find someone to groom Fluffy; yet they can't run a comb or brush through their own cat without looking like they had a fight with a Cuisinart. The sweetest cat can turn into a chainsaw with fur! gb

A wee bit off topic but twice Queen of the Praries was mentioned. Can anyone confirm what the leaves look like? Pot plants by chance? A client gave me some the other day but called it Queen of the plains. I googled of course and came up with nothing. She also called it Randyplay. Or that was how the English accent made it sound. A friend of hers brought a root back many years ago from France. she did show me a picture. Tall fluffy pink plume of flowers. My very technical perennial book does not use common names (nor pernunciation!) and it is the closest I can find to the match the picture If anyone can confirm that the leaves follow this description then I will know if I identified it correctly. Everything you mentioned is something where someone or something is being hurt... When I see people dressed as in the "befores" I posted above, I do see someone being hurt. Just because they are hurting themselves and have every right to do it, doesn't mean it doesn't send a message and evoke an emotional reaction. With the many makeovers on "what not to wear" and other programs, there were some common themes including some women felt a need to show a lot of skin to attract men, but then couldn't understand why they were attracting the wrong kind of man. Some women had low self esteem and never felt that they were beautiful or attractive. Some women simply had no idea of how they were perceived. Others didn't do better because they didn't know how. One woman who had been an exotic dancer was told that her street wear was perfect for that job. She was the one who pinned a raccoon tail to her backside. After her makeover she dumped her loser boyfriend, went back to school, and made a career for herself. She said that none of that would've happened if she hadn't gotten the makeover which showed her she was more deserving of respect from herself.

Thank you all for the nice kitty comments :) I might have some chick incubator TV going on later this week. I had some English Orpington eggs shipped to me awhile back and just went into lockdown on the incubator. They are supposed to hatch on the 17th. Shipped eggs are always iffy so I will be happy for whatever hatches lol. Jin, I bet Nikita would be begging you for Silkies if she saw them lol!
