Your Guest Bath: Make Your Friends Feel Pampered
Clean Off the Counter, Supply Fluffy Towels, Nice Lighting and More
The holidays will be here before we know it, and many of us will be having overnight guests to share in the festivities. Be a thoughtful host and prepare the bath your guests will be using so that they have everything they need for a comfortable stay. It's the little things we do that mean a lot to our friends and loved ones. Here are some ways you can make your guest bath warm and welcoming:
Clear off the counter and provide adequate lighting for grooming. Wall sconces should be installed at eye level.
Supply lots of fluffy towels for your guests during their stay. These baskets are attractive for storing towels and extra tp, and they are similar in tone to the wood vanity cabinet.
Treat your guest to a wonderful assortment of soaps. These colorful natural bars look great in an artisan bowl.
Provide a full length mirror for dressing. This tall recessed medicine cabinet stores essentials and serves as both a grooming and dressing mirror. Clear off a shelf so your guest can store their own products.
Place hair and bath products where they will be used. Doesn't this shower look welcoming?
Make sure there is a hook or towel bar for each guest. Hooks are easy to install and don't take up much wall space. These three white towels above the tub add texture and interest.
Provide a place for them to store their stuff. This floating vanity has an extra wide shelf and could fit the entire contents of their carry on bag.
Plug in the electric towel warmer. Toasty towels are the ultimate luxury! This satin nickel one hangs on the wall. Notice that the lighting in this bath has been dimmed to provide a warm ambiance.
Check that the window coverings are in working order for the privacy of your guest. This shade is a top down model which allows light to come in through the top.
Here's a bath that has been thoughtfully prepared for guests. There's good lighting, plenty of counter space, fresh towels, and baskets to put their things. And fresh flowers are always a nice touch.
