Wooo!!! Cat, I am stuck at home because of the snow storm so wandered around here not looking at anything in particular and came upon your thread. I totally agree with you on the shower curtain choice. Regardless of whether I have the money to spare or not, keeping those suckers clean is a nuisance over time. We have a glass shower door that was installed back in 2003 and I can't tell you how much I hate cleaning it. Not that the door is all that dirty, but a shower curtain is way easier, and you can change the look/style whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a pricey shower door. Anyway, everything looks lovely as usual, including the "prom" dress :-) Love, love those circular tiles, and the floor tiles that look like fabric. Gorgeous. What colour is that again? It looks greyish on my monitor.

I wouldn't frame them...I would put them out on easels, seasonally. Somewhere in this house of drawers, closets and boxes I have a bunch ( more than several) vintage valentines..many 3 dimensional with fold outs some very fancy postcards and several "flapper" type cards of the 1920's. When you don't have them on display all the time they become special when you do get them out. I have seen them framed casually backed with an old lace handkerchief and a piece of jewelry of the period...maybe a locket... Fun to display....and fun to put away when it's time for Easter. parts-I did not use a light rail. With the tape they go up pretty flush so you don't need to. Plus, my KD had contractor mount them on the front rail so that they are even less likely to be noticed and they tend to light the mid-back of the counter better - which seems to work nicely bc overhead lights get the front part of the counter. I've attached a picture so I think you can see what I mean. However, I will say this...when I'm in the DR, I can see the undersides of the cabs a little. It drives me a little batty. So I'm thinking about getting the paint matched and slapping a couple coats on the underside so the cream view doesn't get broken up. (I don't know if that will help and I plan to ask KD before I do it, maybe it's a terrible idea?!) So I don't know if a light rail would have helped to cover that issue? Yes, they are full overlay. However, this is probably one of the places where a cab line a step or two up would have been better. There is def a small gap between cabs. Completely within reason for the specs given, but bigger than I have seen in other more expensive lines. Doesn't bother me enough to have spent more for less gap, though! :)

Everyone has been SO helpful!!!! You don't know how much I appreciate all the research. You are the greatest! I don't believe it was the Tucker sisters, although they do fit the descriptions that I gave. I called the public library this morning and asked to speak to a reference librarian. I told her my dilemma, and gave her the information about the "unknown book." She came up with a book that is described as: A WOMAN RETURNS FROM THE BAHAMAS AND DECORATES HER HOUSE PINK. That has to be it! What are the chances of there being another book like this. She is going to call me back, but she told me this book is by Dorothy Draper, a great woman decorator who introduced color to the world of decorating. And, it was the Bahamas, not Bermuda -- I knew it started with a "B!" LOL I know that Dorothy Draper wrote a book entitled, "In the Pink." Not sure if this is the book -- BUT at least, I'm pretty sure that Dorothy Draper is the author. The librarian was busy at the time so that is the reason she is going to call me back. Do you guys think you can help me find which Dorothy Draper book this might be?
