The really cool thing would be to allow users to have a "custom" mode that would allow them to download "X recognition" software ... where X means face-, ball-, butterfly-, bird-, etc ... as a focus controller. It wouldn't be hard, and apps would quickly fill the market. Unless, of course, the mathematics for face recognition are proprietary; but I guess it's probably standard wavelet stuff. Jeff

Denise, The camera is a Panasonic lumix FX35. Im A bit dumb when it comes to this stuff so I got one that has built in AI. It just knows what Im trying to take a picture of and changes everything to make it look good. Thanks for the I.D I was thinking that's what it was. Hey Barbra, Glad that you got a new camera so you can post pictures of your beautiful RP gardens. One day we will get you to agree to be on the Hidden Gardens Tour. I haven't seen you recently because I, we all, have been sick. We had Christmas dinner here with the neighbors, and we all have or have had the Rockport crud that is going around. Hopefully, I'll feel better and get to see you this weekend. It's very cold and very windy here today. Depending on which weather station we listen to, we might or might not get a freeze tonight. Hopefully we will not get one because all of my plants are looking pretty good right now. I'm not positive but I think your red passionflora is a Passiflora vitifolia. I had one, but it didn't make it. The good thing about the reds are the caterpillars don't bother them like they do the purples. Have fun with your camera and I hope to see you this weekend.
