Lilo, I posted a message about your photo creativeness when I saw the "chimney shadow" picture. Holy Smoke! This one is pure beauty! pls. keep sharing. P.S. I didn't mean to make a pun, but it fits, so I'm leaving it in!

Okay, Miss Marigene, pick one. Is it 'sunshine' or 'sunrise'? If this is one you got from me, I have a picture of Lin's Winter Sunrise in my file. The pink is lighter, and there appears to be a soft yellow blush in the middle. Mine tanked about two weeks ago, but I seem to remember it blooming true to that picture. Barbara

I had to smile about the phase "evil twins". I had no issues with Great Expectations. I have 2 (rescued from the nursery at the end of season as babies) and they have grown well for the last 3 years, every year the eye count increases and the texture and leaf shape and color are absolutely the best (in my opinion). RS on the other hand seems to be less reliable for me. I actually lost one 2 years ago so I got more last year. I will wait for a few more days. All of my hostas have pipped out except 2 on the north side of house (El Nino and First Frost). I am hopeful at least one of the RS will survive. Babka, I will check for other damages if I can locate the roots. Thanks for the info. Vivian

I have no clue how much sunlight we'll have today. It's been a beautiful day considering that it is 26 degrees outside. It was 10 degrees when I got up this morning, but you wouldn't know it. The sun has been shining bightly all day. I added more potting soil to one of my flower beds and was going to plant a few bulbs I had forgotten about, but the ground is frozen. I'm not used to that. I was telling my kids earlier that we'll start seeing longer days. We are all happy about that.
