False. But you can not buy parts directly from Dacor. You have to go through one of their parts distributors. Where I live, the distributor is an outfit called Marcone. They have several different numbers in our area, but all are routed to a single call center. I have ordered a few parts from them for our ERD-36 range. If they have them in stock it takes a couple of days. If they need to get the part from Dacor, it takes 7-10 days. If you really really need it, Dacor can drop ship it to you in a day or two. Be prepared to pay huge extra shipping charges though.

Sharon, Just when I thought I'd have time to be a regular at CF again...my time gets zapped up so quickly. I wanted you to know I am thoroughly enjoying these posts! I am having a great time figuring out what you're saying with my own camera. My pictures have already improved remarkably. I've been begging (okay, whining) to take some classes and they just aren't to be found around here. Your tutorials are just what I need! Thank you for all your time! Deb

I've been threatening to take a photography class, but no one gives a class way out where I live! This is SOOOOO perfect and completely addresses my needs! Sharon, you are so patient and so amazing! I feel like you're talking directly to me in terms I can totally understand. I am very grateful. I cannot wait to put it into practice!

Dave, I'm glad you're keeping in touch here. So many of us care about what happens to you and your boy and any words of comfort that we may offer you, if they help, we're glad. You're right, it gets better when it gets better. I think the most important thing right now is to keep one foot in front of the other. That's what we did for a long time after we lost our boy and granddaughter. I know our situation is different from yours, but it did help us to keep going, even though we felt for a long time that we were just going through the motions. I don't know what happened to the first three months after the accident, except that I made pickles and jam, something I hadn't done in decades. We just kept going. How fortunate you are to have your little boy, your wife's wonderful gift to you. I know it must be hard being a comfort to him when you yourself hurt so very much. After all this time, I still grieve that we have nothing left of our boy Dave. His daughter was his only child. It still hits me hard that there is nothing on this earth left of him, except memories. Your little boy is a beautiful reminder of your wife's love for you, in addition to the wonderful memories you have. Take care, and God bless you and your son.
