Thanks everyone. Odyssey...you made me chuckle! I loved reading about chopping off it's arms!! LOL! Olga, I came across the picture of your RT in one of the search threads. Too beautiful for words. I can only dream of such gardening skills. I will put Radio Times in his own spot...a landscape shrub. I'm tired of fighting these DA's in a formal rose bed. Thanks!

Best way to fix is get down on hands and knees, with a flash-light and peer underneath the machine, and look for a detached rod or lever, that maybe a cotter-pin, or spring steel clip has fallen out or broken. Not much else could cause the problem, i'd say. And sometimes, the mfgrs use cheap bolts and nuts, or forget a lock washer that would hold things tight. I'm not familiar with that make. Is there a dealer handy to you? Or, is it too old for a dealer to still be in business? Rusty J.

I have had this problem several times, every time it happens to me - it is related to water in the tank - and specifically - the water that collects in the carbs fuek bowl is your problem. at a certain angle the motor starves for fuel - eventually you get so much water in the carb bowl - the motor wont run. good luck
