Eh... 270 dollars is gettin pretty crazy for a fixture that has a tendency to burn out in a year. Be sure to read the amazon reviews on this product, anyone who is looking at LED lighting. Buy at your own discretion.

It must have been on an album at my boyfriend's house - not like a one-hit wonder on the radio. It would have been a group. Some of the stuff he had I can rule out right away, like moody blues, t-rex. It was a male singer and he didn't have any type of whine or moan in his voice, his vocal sound was more like a proclamation. There was no obvious british accent so I would rule out the kinks. I'm thinking maybe it was a procol harem type of sound, but I've tried pretty hard to find it online and I can't. Frankly I can only recall those three words. I thought you might know of a site or a reference that I haven't found. I think you used to be able to go to a record store and find guys who knew everything. But let's face it, those guys are really old now. Speaking of old, don't tell dh, but I got him stones tickets for his birthday. Not sure he'll be thrilled, but between me and him it has always been a beatles vs stones battle, and now I'm going to make him prove his loyalty. (I am the happy, loving beatles fan, he is the dirty, hateful stones person.) We'll see how strong a fan he really is. No, not the hyde park concert. That would have been a real treat.

Copper Harbor, Michigan. You must have been up on the Keweenaw peninsula, a rocky ridge extending into Lake Superior. This piece of landscape is geologically interesting as it is of molten rock origin. This is one place in the United States where native copper occurs. (Native copper is copper in metallic form instead of a compound of copper such as copper-oxide or copper-sulfate. Native Americans first worked copper outcrops on this spit of land, later followed by European immigants. Some of the Native Americans held an aversion to using 'raw' copper utensils since some had sickened on exposure to this material. They were not aware of the posionus nature of some of the compounds of copper. A number of native copper mines were established and worked extensively over 100 years ago by US settlers. Most of those mines are closed; one may be open for a fee to rock collectors looking for copper specimens. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, I collected specimens at old mine dumps and as time passed, these sites became restricted and amatuer collecting dryed up. Silver does occur to a lesser amount than copper. One relatively rare specimen is called a "half breed". It contains copper and silver on the same rock. Some of the copper is alloyed with about 2% silver making it a very tough bronze. The west side beaches were a source of agates, but are scarce today. A stop at the school mines at Houghton may be worthwhile. It has been years since I visited there to look at their specimen collection. They had one of the finest collections ever of agates plus other specimens associated with copper. I do not know if that is yet available, but it is worth an inquiry. Beware that black bears are present near campsites of the northern end of this peninsula. They are attracted to garbage dumps and after dark do roam through camp sites looking for edibles. Some of these have lost their fear of humans and as such are dangerous. I do not recommend tent camping.
