There are a lot of small manufacturers building log splitters, they are really not complicated. As long as the fittings are common size and thread, replacement parts are readily available.

Your 'creative juices' never cease! Wonderful fabrication of the 'Presidential Plate'..and the use of the Lincoln Logs is so clever. I like how everything ties together with the placemats/stems/napkins and S&Ps..Using DH's books as part of a 'backdrop' works nicely too. Here I've been thinking that in a democratic state, it's to be the representatives of the people where supreme power lies. You guys don't have a king, decided long ago that you didn't like that kind of thing ... ... so - what do you have ... a king-wanna-be? Heck ... you don't even get to vote for your big shot - just vote for a bunch o' (mostly) guys that vote for their choice of leader. Supposedly. As for us ... about 349/350 of our voting areas don't get to vote for our big shot, either. S/He runs for office in one of the voting areas, same as everyone else who want to run our government ... ... and when the voting's over, the leader of the party with the most seats gets to be Prime Minister. With several parties, often we have a parliament where not one party has a majority of seats, so they need cooperation from at least some of the others to make things happen. Our Prime Minister has gained a bit of a reputation for liking things to happen in his way. After an election a few years ago in which he'd gained a minority of seats and said right after that he was going to be cooperative ... ... a few months down the road, he more of less stuck the various others parties either in the eye or the rear-end (take your pick) with a sharp stick. The other parties got so upset about that ... that they said that they were going to join together and outvote him ... and when that happens on an important issue, the other guys (with a few gals) often get a chance to try to run the government ... or they have to hold another election. There was a great to-do about how ... don't those other guys realize that he was elected by a majority, so should get to govern?? But - only a minority of voters voted for his guys (and a few gals) ... so if the other folks could make their gathering stick, they could have governed. He put Parliament on hold for a while ... ... then started up again ... ... and he's still going! Careful when you're planning an omelette - if you get too frisky - you may end up with egg on your face! ole joyful
