The lead is just wrapped around the edge of the dish and soldered at the corners. It's not glued to the glass ( although I could if it were heavy ) I have this one hanging on the curtain rod of my kitchen - the chimes are beautiful . It figures - I can't remember where I bought them ! LOL

As long as the bees mind their manners they are a welcome addition to my yard. I saw a honey/bumblebee on my nasturtium over the weekend as well as a few other species on my other plants. I'm not very good at IDing bees. I have noticed that there is always a giant black and yellow bee on my mealy cup sage. It will painstakingly go up and down every flower stalk. I'm guessing I don't see other bees there because that's it's turf. Wasps however have a nasty habit of making nests on the undersides of the leaves of my ti plants and then ambushing me when I'm working on them. Very aggresive these Florida wasps. I'm sad to say I'm not very fond of them.

We read Peebles, Frances De Pontes The Seamstress Stein, Garth The Art of Racing in the Rain Rachel Kushner Telex from Cuba Haddon, Mark The curious incident of the dog in the night-time McCann,Colum Let the Great World Spin Kathyrn Stockett The Help Keri Hulme The Bone People Joseph Wallace Diamond Ruby Cris Cleave Little Bee I did not like Diamond Ruby but the rest of the group did. I thought it was evident the writer was a first time author. The Bone People was about alcoholism and child abuse. It was really well written but not a fun read. The help was good and I chose Let the Great World Spin which was also well written and very evocotive of the late 70s, which was a kinda dark and dreary time. The Curious Incident was about Autism. Very well written and I enjoyed it as it was told from the point of view of the child with Autism. Telex from Cuba was ok. It took place in the 50s about Cuba prior to Castro and the Americans who lived there. The Art of Racing in the Wind was written from the perpective of a dog who has an owner who drives race cars. It was cute told from the dog perpective but written in a very simplistic style I did not like. I really enjoyed the seamtress which takes place in Brazil in the 30, but it was also very horrific in parts. WHeW! I guess that's it!

NO PROBLEM!! I am not a professional at all, but I love stuff like this. I am currently trying to change my house. I have a flat ranch style house with 0 depth to it. Completely rectangular with a flat roof porch and no gables. Talk about hard to change up. Your have a beautiful home. A few ideas on the driveway. You can try to tie the driveway in up to the porch. Put bricks along the side of the driveway and up to the stairs like this photo. This can be a little pricey maybe line it with pea gravel for a cheaper option. If you move the stairs to line up with the door you can remove the first two section on the concrete path and work the third section into the driveway, you may have to take the third out so you can reposition it - make it curve so it still flows with the rest of the path. If you have a little bit of money you can try something like this, you would have to remove the driveway and some of the pathway and start over. For less maintenance you don't have to have gaps like here, but you can run the driveway all the way up to the door. I know its not ideal having you car here but if you can't move it per city property then you have to dress it up a little.
