Would you watch a Rotisserie Chicken Channel?

Swiss Chalet has bought a channel where they show the rotisserie chickens, 24/7. They figure it will whet people's appetites.

Not me, won't do a thing for me. How about you?

slucci, What do you mean by raw? Smoke meat does look red, but not raw. What was the temperature and where did you take the reading? The thermometer should read 180 when inserted in the thickest part of the thigh without touching bone. 90 minutes is quick unless it was a small bird. It normally takes me at least 2 hours with a five pound bird straight from the refrigerator. If using a frozen bird, especially if quickly thawed in a microwave, be VERY certain its completely thawed. It will not cook correctly if the breast is thawed but the centers of the thighs are still frozen. Leave the lid on and do place a drip pan under the bird. Also the bird should not be directly over the coals. Rather the coals should be off to one side either to the front or back, parallel with the spit. I haven't owned a kettle style grill, but I believe bricks are placed under the chicken to keep the coals to the side. carlcarter, You should have started a new thread to change topics. The nature of your questions suggests you do not have the knowledge to run the gas line safely, please hire a professional. If youÂre still tempted to do it yourself remember your insurance company will deny any claims resulting form an improper installation and you could be charged with criminal negligence if someone gets hurts or dies as a result of a leak from your DIY installation.

I freeze whole rotisserie chickens all the time- although I find it easier to fit in my small freezer if I cut them in half first - wrap in hydty foil, into a large freezer ziplock, into the freezer and instant main course later on. Guess what we had for dinner tonite?

@Andie I too do not understand what your problem is, I rarely if ever chime in on this community but this blatant miss quoting of @Zalco's comment is frankly absurd. You made a mistake and this weird method of trying to covering it up is making you look like a complete lier and add to that you are even dragging in and insulting other members of this community which is again, absurd. You are clearly the one who misunderstood and led @Zalco on a wild goose chase trying to find what they did wrong. I personally think you should apologize. but more likely you will either, ignore the situation or, hit that flag button which for some reason removes comments immediately unlike on other websites such as Discord, or Reddit.

I very much like Rotisserie Chicken, but the only way it would whet my appetite is if they could have the aroma there. Wouldn't even need a picture.

Um, I could just go to Costco and stand and watch the chickens being roasted in the meat dept. there. I could also enjoy the aroma.

That's funny. How many different ways can you make a rotisserie chicken? There are only so many things you can use the leftovers for. I'd sure get tired of chicken, chicken, chicken.

I loved those chickens they made back in 80s mmmdark,salty.They dont make them anymore ,we have a grocer her just does chicken no spices.Id love to get that recipe from 80s.

I can't even watch a lot of regular cooking shows anymore.
Almost all women cooks have their hair falling over their shoulders and almost into the food.. We were taught in high school cooking classes to use a net or at least tie it back.

I agree minnie, and what's with the many cake baking shows? All those bare hands handling the rolls of icing and practically climbing ontop of the thing, do people really eat those cakes or are they just for show?

No way to the swiss chalet channel....but I have to say I LOVE the cake shows! I am a hobby baker/decorator and love to watch them.
