Sept. Morning in smalltown America

Sharon is in central westeren Conneticut. A beautiful town then with the old fashioned town square filled with green plantings etc. Maple trees lined the roads leading into the town. What it is now I do not know. Its beauty probably continued through the years.

It really is pretty...the rays and color of fall coming in...Were beginning to get lotsa fall colors now...I don't know where to start to get all of them(colors in a photo)...

Wow! That's a LONG trip -- or trips, plural. We've always had nice cruises on Princess. We'd like to repeat the Baltic trip with days in St. Petersburg -- well, maybe not going to Russia just now! Are you talking about Road to Hana on Maui? Was it rough crossing the Pacific? (This winter we had lots of wind and rain on Maui.) How was the train itself? Was the food edible? My last time in a bunk was to and from the World's Fair in Montreal -- very overheated train, and very *slow going*. I'll be anxious to hear about your trip to Peru. An agronomist friend has driven all over South America; sounds beautiful!

Some beautiful pictures here today. Rosemary, that is great that you included the people in the picture. It really shows the size of that arch!! There are certainly a lot a beautiful places to visit here and in Canada. Wish I was super rich to go see them all!!!

Hello Girls Yes it was on my porch after 6 last night. My package from Margo got me ready for fall. It had Bath and body works wallflowers holder with a caramel pumpkin swirl scent. French lavender and honey shower gel,. A beautiful blue butterfly canvas picture,solar dancing butterfly, insect repelling band{always use these} sour watermelon worms 2 cute bug rocks { I want to make these} poached egg seeds fleabane seeds dwarf toadflax seeds Mixed columbine seeds Margo I love all items Thank you for another great month in this friendly group.

I thank all for the comments however, now for the rest of the story. This photo was taken in 1956 using a Kodak Retina 2c and a GE PR1 exposure meter, I was on my way to work. I recently scanned the slide with my Nikon COOLSCAN V. It scans at 4000 DPI.
