I had a morning glory and a clematis in the vine pot, Ruby Fountain Grass, 3 pots of pink trailing impatiens, and a water garde. This was in August 2007. Here is a link that might be useful:

I will get out and snap pics later. I know I have 'Black Knight' in the butterfly garden although the flowers never seem quite as dark as they appear in the catalogs - it is always blooming in such hot direct sun, it seems to deepen toward the end of the season. That one is perhaps as tall as me - 66" or so. And then I have a very large white - it is tall well over my head at 7' I'd say I believe it is 'White Profusion'. I know for sure I bought 'Nanjo Blue' and for a time and it was lower growing although it seemed to get very wide and the flowers weren't very bright - I thought I transplanted it out to my island bed and that one is blue but it gets much taller now. Maybe I replaced it and forgot... The one that interests me a lot is 'Dartmoor' that gets clusters of flowers - I wonder if they all age at the same rate? This site shows the English Butterfly series that really are supposed to be compact. 'Peacock' looks very nice. And how about those variagated ones like 'Santana' - although it gets quite tall. I did have 'Honeycomb' at one time - it just never thrived for me like the others, may have been the location. Here's anice site located really close to where I lived in Akron, Ohio with a good selection... Here is a link that might be useful: Dayton Nursery Buddlea Varieties

Ooooh....Ahhhh!!! Good job, alisande! I didn't get to go to the fireworks this year, but last year was my first (and only) attempt so here are a couple of photos from then. I wish I'd had something interesting for a foreground or background. I never dreamed it would be as much fun as it was to photograph them. Pam

Kelly, I think the table would look much better on my porch. :) Those are perfect color combinations too. It won't get rained on will it? I have two recent spots in my home. Now that the sun is shining through the windows again I love looking at my utility room in the afternoons. It also makes a nice plant hospital for the other plants in my house in case they get sick. Not a good picture because of the shadows on the shutters. They look really dark in this picture, but they're a light cream. Below is the lamp I bought specifically for the sofa table, but stupid me forgot how dark shades give off poor light, even though this is a 3-way. But the lamp found a new home in a small corner in the living room and it's perfect there. The area really highlights the embroidery on the shade. You can't tell from this picture but the two walls are only about 3 feet wide, which makes it a fun and difficult spot to decorate.
