That sounds fantastic! I only have three little Heucheras and guard them like they are made of gold! In the Spring and Fall they do well, though, so hoping to see them bound in this cool weather we sudden;t are getting. Make sure you take pictures of your "river's" progress, with before , during and after pics so we can see the transformation. One trip up that way, a few years back, we stayed at a Superior Nat'l Forest C/G next to the Kamishiwi River, a few miles out of Ely. We caught lots of fish until the wind shifted out of the west, to the north, and everything quit! Bulegill, walleye and northern pike were the catch of the day.

I love them both but the colors reflected in that rippled water are really nice. It's amazing that the colors reflected by the water are a little more intense than the trees themselves. That's a lovely spot, Joan. Lucky you. Still waiting for fall color here.
