I have an iris reblooming reliability list that I downloaded from one of the iris growers. It lists Mariposa Skies as rebloom only to Zone 7. Hope this info helps, Linda

Yes, thanks to you, my other four are doing fine, two yellow and two pink...unless I mixed the labels or seeds up LOL! I'm certain you will get the sticks to root for you. Planting in pots and plunging outdoors up to the rims in the warmer months sounds a better option to me than having to take drastic action such as chopping them all down. Must be heartbraking to have to do that. Would the resulting rooted stumps sprout if you potted them up? Cali...Oz aunt reported temps in their area south of Perth were up to 40C, so moving the plumie from shady area into that heat would certainly give it a shock, maybe that did do it? Yes it's the same dull foggy day here again today, really miserable. I did cut immediately below the big scar..(that was from the only inflo that I got back in 2006, and its gone downhill since) but you can see a dark patch just below that greener area and another similar darker one lower down. I'm going to try one last thing...to progressively cut it off in small sections till it looks healthier. However, the fact that there are these two dark areas PLUS I have no flow of latex lower down makes me think I'm on looser though. System is always "clean"; usually run Disk Cleanup pretty much every day and check for need to defrag too often. My old Compaq w/ Celeron processor needed to be kept clean or it ran real real slow so I stayed in the habit of cleaning up. I ended up deleting several downloaded movies, cleaned up some programs I didn't use and regained a ton of free space so am back to 80%. But AVG is still virus scanning about 110k files ....

and when your not happy with it.. you always have option 2 ... outside your box ... a major renovation job.. right out the front door... can be very ugly.. for very long.. especially if you spend any time sitting on the porch ... but all this is to your tolerance ... dont know where you are.. but let me suggest.. that TX has a much longer growing/recovery season.. than most of us.. heck it might be twice the length of my MI growing season .... and as such.. TX plants will recover in a season or two.. and here in MI it might be 3 or 4 seasons ... i highly doubt its an electric shear thing.. unless you have some high powered shears ... good luck, and have fun ... ken BTW: it would be interesting to know if you are in an area with one of the boxwood plagues ....
