I read about people getting better kitchen cabinets for less money by going through a custom cabinetmaker. I would like to do that but a google search for a custom cabinetmaker on Long Island yields at least 50 plus listings. With no one to recomend someone to me, how do I start the search. Do I visit each shop? Can anyone in the Suffolk County area recomend a good cabinetmaker for the whole cabinet that is low priced? I would appreciate any advice as the store sold cabinets are coming out to be too much for me to do the kitchen this year.
