Cat6 is not that difficult to terminate. It is somewhat more demanding than cat5e, but I would not trust someone who can't terminate cat6 to do my cabling anyway. I always have the same answer to questions like this: would you rather install cat6 and 10 years later realize you didn't need it, or install cat5e and wish you had cat6? Install more than you think you need during construction, unless it's cost prohibitive. In this case (and indeed in most cases), the incremental cost of cat6 is minuscule, because most of the cost is labor rather than materials (and labor is nearly the same for cat6). In most current applications it does not make a difference, but it does in some, and there may be more in the future. It is so much easier to run cable while the walls are open, that IMHO it's a complete no-brainer to "over-spec" a little bit to avoid regret and having to tear things up in the future. I've been through the project of adding cable to an existing home, and it is not fun. It involved literally hundreds of holes in drywall, all of which needed to be patched, texture matched and painted (not to mention the hours upon hours of labor I had to pay for the guys to fish cable through finished spaces).

So glad you finally found someone who was able to diagnose and successfully treat your kitty! I've learned from experience that when my pets aren't improving (and the vet isn't looking at other options) it's time to seek a second opinion, or a specialist. Your first vet should have been able to get you in to see a dematalogist a lot sooner but I'm sure he was happy changing the bandage daily. Let me guess, there was a charge each time they did this? Thanks for sharing.....I'll keep this in mind if one of my cats ever develops a paw problem.

I planted three in spring of last year here in upstate NY (5b) in all-day sun. They were a bit scruffy the first year, as to be expected when they were getting established, but they're blooming nicely for me this spring. They were definitely my earliest blooming Nepeta (starting around May 10 if I recall), about 2-3 weeks before Walker's Low, Purrsian Blue and Blue Wonder, and they've been going non-stop since then without any sign of fading, though I can't yet comment on re-bloom. My only (minor) complaint is that they seem to be a little bit more compact than advertised, topping out at about 10-12" in full bloom with about a 20-24" spread at the moment. They definitely seem better suited for edging a pathway or driveway, rather than in a mixed border situation where they might get lost or overwhelmed by more impactful plants.

I have a white catmint that’s on the dwarf side, much smaller than my Walkers low and other assorted catmints. More upright habit, too. I wish i could remember the name — Montrose, perhaps perhaps? it’s done well for me in 5a for a few years; doesn’t sprawl or get as frizzly as the purple ones in the heat of summer.
