I'm posting some pictures from a trip this week to Vancouver visiting my daughter, starting with mountains.

Mount Robson is the highest in the Canadian Rockies, towering 12,972 feet (3954 m)

Tequila Sunrise and Pretty-N-Pink are maybe in the process of being registered. Still Ten English pounds is a lot of moular to some (and me). Tequila Sunrise is lovely. Pretty-N-Pink has a minor fault only visible to Tolumnia purists. Had a look at Orchidom previously and was impressed. Closer to home and you do not have to worry so much about the guardians of the gates. You might have to be careful with Ã¢ÂÂclonesÃ¢ÂÂ, are they talking about Mericlones which are usually more expensive than seedlings. The other big advantage is growing conditions. The Caribbean is probably Tolumnia Heaven. Three clones of Tolu. Alyshia showing the variation you sometimes get from the one compot of seedlings which in this case means produced from seed. The crossing is Shannon Elizabeth x Sizzler. Sizzler was registered by Robert Perreira. Tracking the ancestors of a cross will usually find an ancestor registered by Perreira or Moir. You all don't know how much I adore these little guys!!!!! I've been out of the orchid world loop. To me tolumnia is a surprise renaming for this little (once upon a time oncidium) orchid. Odontoglossum (another favorite patterned flower) is another surprise change. Tollumnia has a nice ring to it. I stopped buying them because I couldn't get the culture / watering balance quite right. Too hot and dry and I don't have a greenhouse to control humidity. I didn't have the heart to condemn anymore. I am living vicariously through this thread. Nick and Arthur your little gems are SO cute and beautiful. Shavedmonkey, that's a definite photogenic beauty.

I just finished Sleeping Giants, the first book in a sci-fi trilogy by Sylvain Neuvel. Told in interviews and documents, it recounts humankind discovering that aliens do exist and were on our planet some 3,000 years ago. They also left something behind. It had an interesting set up and was a quick, easy read with enough intriguing plot lines left dangling to entice me to read the next two books (which I've already requested from the library). It's not great literature, but I'd still like to know what happens next. I'm also a quarter of the way into The Near Witch by V.E. Schwab, a medieval-style fantasy tale about witchcraft and missing children. So far, I'm enjoying it. Everything else I requested from the library arrived at once today: Nightb*tch by Rachel Yoder, That Sounds Like Fun by Annie F. Downs, and How Lucky by Will Leitch. As How Lucky was recommended here, I'm starting that next.

There are tons of pictures one could take when the whether
cooperates,....and it did, but unfortunately we couldn't stop
too many times, due to time limit.
Here are some along the way, not sure the name of the lake.

Nice pictures. I like the name of the Mountain. My maiden name is Robson. My father did a genealogy check and we have relatives in Canada.

Wonderful photos!! Makes me want to start hiking again. Many places in the Washington Cascades look like that. Clear mountain lakes and streams.

These are really beautiful. I love the driftwood and fireweed in the foreground of the last one, but they're all beautiful! Reminds me of Glacier/Waterton Park.
