Barrowed Konrad's idea.

Methley plum. I harvested two plastic grocery bags full. Not a good keeper. Pitted and froze.

WOW, Again!! I really like the first picture with all of those plums!! I guess it's too hot here for plums to produce that well.

I have three different kinds of plum trees, and even in a good year, only produce a few dozen at most. The rest get ruined by insects or eaten by possums, coons or birds.

I have Plum envy.

If you keep the roots from freezing, you can easily proagate your oxalis that way. That is a very unusual cultivar! More common ones are widely available now in garden centers, sold as shamrocks. Here is a link that might be useful: indoor-outdoor oxalis

My Plum Crazy is doing fine, but it's still a baby of sorts, I planted it last summer. It bloomed the first for this season just yesterday , is about three foot four inches tall at the tallest stalk and is covered in up and coming blooms. It's the only one I have planted in only afternoon sun. My Lord Baltimore started blooming a week ago and gets only half day morning sun (six hours), Luna Blush is not far in the same border as Lord Baltimore and it started about a week and a half ago ( Luna Blush was transplanted over about four feet this spring). Lady Baltimorehas been blooming for a few weeks, but she'll be the first one finished here for me. I do water all mine.

Thanks so much. I could totally see this plant in Peptic Bismal Pink. I could surround it with a variety of other pink flowers and call it my Legally Blonde Garden. Yes, I think it's a dinner-plate one, because it's gloriously oversized. ;) thyme, almost anything looks good with those cosmos. Lol. I am So So happy with those lovely things, I'm going to attempt to save seeds. Yes, give it a second shot. I lost Robert Fleming, which was a rich, dark red, but that's because the plant sent was really small and struggling. I might go for another one.

I love this picture because it has a story in it and it looks enchantingly mysterious. The background looks like a mountain waterfall in a Chinese painiting. I can hear the sound of the water, the chirping of the crickets in the cool night air and can smell the lovely rose. The blue butterfly is a symbol of hope and our desire to fulfill the dreams and our passion for beauty. Of course everybody understand what we see in a different way. This is my interpretation!

Oh, yummy! I wish I had a bag of plums. I love homemade plum jam.
Our neighbor's tree only had a couple of plums this year due to the hot winter weather, which caused the trees to bloom, followed by a couple of really cold nights.

Also, besides prunes being free stone, and mostly blue, they are more "meaty", less juice, therefore much better for dehydrating.
