A really lovely one is Benz's LAST MAN STANDING. A smaller flower (4.5"); registered as a late bloomer, also as a rose-red bitone, both of which it most certainly is. What the registration info doesn't say is that it also has a pretty gold edge. Just beautiful colors. I had FFO yesterday, and two blooms open today. I love this daylily, but it may be just a bit over your budget limit....I'm guessing it might cost $20 (???). But if you can find it for sale, I'd get it if I were you. It's older (1999), but I like it just as much as some of the newest of the new.
