There is a road that goes along the waterfront and it's meant for service vehicles and owners of boats or workers on the ships, the public isn't really supposed to drive in there. They have speed signs up and they say "Wharf Speed 25". Someone got black tape and changed the "F" to a "P" on one of the signs so now it reads "Wharp Speed"....I should really take a picture of it.

I often drive by a place named Dumas's Tacos. But on the big marquee sign on the street it's all in caps with no apostrophe & says DUMASS TACOS, which has been making me laugh for 3 years. (dumb a**)

For the longest time I intended to get a photo of a funny sign we would drive by every day on the way to work. But, just as I was finally ready - camera in hand - the sign was gone. I guess "the powers that be" finally wised up.

The sign said, Illegal dumping is a crime.. Duh!

On Texas roadways you'll see signs that say "Caution: Guard Rail Damage Ahead". I have never been able to figure out if they put the signs up so you'll go find another guard rail to damage, or if there is a crew that goes out and installs these signs so the next crew will know where they need to fix a guard rail.

While visiting our dd in Des Moines, we went to a neighboring town that has a wonderful HUGE greenhouse complex. She had mentioned that they had a veterinarian clinic close that has a big sign outside the office. She had been told by co-workers that live in that area, they just put up random sayings.

The day we drove by, it said; Lead Lined Baskets

There's a small town in upstate Pennsylvania that we drive through and just outside town is a cemetery with an old iron fence. Prominently displayed at the entrance is a large sign that states: Milford Cemetery - No Hunting.

Those are great. I love funny signs.

Oh, Mcmann's post reminded me of a cemetery sign near here: "Cematery Caution: speed bumps". I thought they were graves! (And that is the way the iron sign over the place is spelled--cematery)

A laundromat in Temple, Texas, had a sign that read "Please don't die in the machines, it ruins the next person's wash".

My brother took a photo of a sign by a cemetary, it said "St. Michael's Cemetery, No Exit". He got it published in a local magazine.

I took a picture of a sign at a gas station mini mart somewhere here in Iowa. It says "No Parking" and underneath that it says "30 minutes".

There was a sign on a road during road repair made of individual words so that the message could be changed. One word blew away in the wind and what remained was "This ramp be closed"
