If it is in only half-sun, you may be overwatering. If it were in full sun I could see watering every day (Depends on the size of the pot too, of course). Check first; sometimes I lift my pots a bit to see how heavy they are with water. Or stick your finger deep into the soil. While half-sun would not cause the flowers to wilt and die, they certainly appreciate more sun than that. Six hours of direct ought to keep them happy. How is the humidity?

Your red cornflowers sound wonderful, could you send me some of those seeds, I live in NY, would that flower be good for this area? I'm a newby and don't really have very much, this is my first year of having a garden, and what I have mostly is wild flowers that I dug up along the roadside. I do have some white daisies and some blackeyed susans that a neighbor gave to me, I love red and purple flowers. Please let me know what I need to do to receive the seeds from you, I'm not only new to gardening, but new to this site as of an hour ago so I don't know very much. Thank you, Lou
