Melons and okra I always start in the garden, usually late this month or early June. Tomatoes I've had sprout up on their own at around the same time and produce fruit in late summer to early autumn. Peppers are the only thing that I wonder if it might be too late for on your list, and even then it might depend on what type. I'd still start the tomatoes inside now just so they have warm nights as well as days. And when ai said melons, I mean cantaloupe types, I don't know about watermelons. Cheers!

I am looking mainly to try my hand at heirloom tomatos, but I did include other wants from my list. My seeds in trade list is short for now. I will be updating that list a little later with more choices. If you still have annona squamosa seeds, I can trade you a couple of potted gojiberry bushes for them. If interested contact me at ctboring@yahoo.com.

I dehydrate all my peppers after cutting in half. A mix gives a good bit of flavor I find. In some I leave the seeds, in some I remove the seeds. Kind of depends on who I am drying them for, whether their a wimp or not. You will get much more flavor, and substantially less heat without the seeds though. Mixes made last year included Red Savina, Scotch Bonnet, Jalapeno, Ancho, and a few others that I can't seem to remember without my morning caffeine.
