Susan, thanks for sharing them! Is that a "Texas Star" hibiscus (Hibiscus coccineus)??? I have one I started from seed & was wondering if any BF would use it! Now I know! I also have Rock Rose seeds(Pavonia lasiopetala) & was wondering if the Gray Hairstreaks would use it as a host? I have Turk's Cap(Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii)growing in the shade but have never seen any cats on it! Thanks again, Lila

I DONÂT love it. And the reason I donÂt like it is that it encourages people to feel badly when they let something die, donÂt plan ahead, or get carried away or overly enthusiastic about their plants. I would rewrite it as the following: I will enjoy the potential every seed holds, and IÂll take pleasure in the abundance they represent. I will be excited about the new plants I see, and will make a space for them in the garden, even when I need to rework to make a place for them. I will take chances, and push the limits, knowing that sometimes plants survive against all odds.. I will be willing to start down a path without knowing where that path is leading. If I donÂt get everything in the ground, I wonÂt beat myself up about it; I will instead be grateful that I am not depending on these plants to provide my winterÂs food. ArenÂt I lucky to be able to grow plants for their beauty and interest! If I forget to bleach my pots, whatÂs the worst that can happen? Seedlings will die. This should be the worst that happens. I will accept that some plants flop. If they fall over, IÂll cut them and put the blooms in a vase indoors, and celebrate my bouquets. I will enjoy the self-seeded flowers (although I WILL edit them where needed) and be willing to be surprised by something I have not created. I will enjoy Mother NatureÂs designs as much as my own. I will be thankful for every plant in my gardens: weeds and precious flowers. I will admit that compost happens, whether I turn it or not; who's in a hurry? Organic matter will rot, and I'm grateful for that. I will admit that my dusty or dirty tools donÂt fall apart because of the dust or dirt. I wish that the "cleanliness is next to Godliness" folks would get over it already! IÂll find the proper tool when I need it, or IÂll make do with something else. If I donÂt get the seeds labeled and stored, I will once again appreciate that IÂm not depending on these seeds to support my family through the coming year. I will take pleasure in what IÂm able to do in the garden, and will appreciate it JUST AS IT IS. I will enjoy the present moment and the treasures that grow all around me. I WILL expect weeds, be willing to be surprised, say thankyou, and pay attention. C.L.

I'm still waiting for mine to be empty to try to other one you showed us. ha I did notice that you got the link up, but I think that was iowagirl who gave you the directions. Hey you.. I was just coming to chat with you. I did not get my planting done yet. Well, only some of it. I got sidetracked. My DM asked me to lunch and then I stopped at the TS on the way home! ha You know I can't pass it up! It's horrible. I think everyone must have cleaned house over the holiday cause the TS was packed with stuff. I was in danger of an avalanche the whole way thru. I was in there for almost 3 hours! I got a chandelier for $1! I really really really like it. I don't know what I'm gonna do with or where I'm gonna put it, but I really like it. ha I got 3 big metal flowers for $2 each and a cross stitch book for $1, an americana tin to plant some flowers in. I picked up a few things for my brother, a rusty moose tea light holder, a hanging moose ornie, a "Closed for the Season" cabin and bear pic, some fish hooks (I think they were from Collections etc) they are fish and their tails turn up to make the hooks, and a folky looking santa on a rocker (makes him look ike he's walking) with a big old fish under his arm and carrying a fishing pole. They were all either 50 cents or $1. OH and my SIL has been trying to find some wallpaper to match what's in her kitchen with no success. The previous owners must have ran out or something cause she has about two strips missing close to her fridge. I found a roll of it!! She is gonna flip. ha $1. I told my mom how much stuff their was and now she wants me to go back with her tomorrow. May try to talk her into going to another one too. It's supposed to be raining tomorrow. I gotta quit shopping and start painting. ha It's soooo fun to find stuff though. I'm gonna have to chain myself to my painting table. ha I'll try to take a pic here in a little while, but I've got to go plant the rest of my flowers now. So it sounds like you picked up some fun pieces too! And I'm excited to see what you've been working on. I'll come back later tonight to see if they are up. DH took off yesterday and worked on the bathroom. Did a second coat of grout, and we got the light fixture done and the toilet installed! Yay. We just have to put the coat of sealer on the tile, put in the baseboards, put up a mirror and put in a sink!! We are inching closer to being finished. ha Well, you get in there and be quiet now...no housework...I agree it's just too noisy. ha Painting is much quieter. ha Have a good one.
