To name a thumb-drive: Bring up the "My Computer" panel. All the connected drives and storage devices should show. Right click on the thumb drive, and then click on properties. At the top of the properties panel is a box for the name of that device. It will be blank if the device has never been named. Type in the name you wish to use and then click "apply". This name is written to the storage device. Thus, when a thumb drive is removed from one computer to another, its name goes with it. A name can be changed or removed by using the steps above. To remove a name, merely delete all the characters in the name box and click "Apply". This procedure also applies to floppy disks. This precedure should work for rewritable CDs and DVDs as well. I'm not sure how it works for for "write-once CDs".

gmom74, that is one hardy rose bush, and, yes, the thorns are horrid, but the rose is so beautiful. I've talked to a lady in Canada who grows it, don't know how it does in warmer climates. I always coveted the Lady Banks rose, which is a beautiful yellow one that spreads all over the place, but it is not hardy in my zone, it is for your zone. I guess you could try and see. They couldn't look worse than mine look right now after we transplanted them and they suffered severe setback. They are starting to put out new leaves even on the one plant that looked like it was a total goner. They are a once-bloomer, so if you could find something similar for your zone that blooms for a longer period, I think you might be happier with it. And I learned when I asked questions about it that it is only one r, named after the Harison who found it, patented or propagated it originally.

What a great close-up shot! I only see them occasionally in my gardens, with their wings flapping so fast, you'd think they were giant bees! How nice to be able to see them standing still. Julie

From a post 5 months ago….(I’ll send a link to this thread, but maybe you should too?) Good luck! “ Emily H 5 months ago Hi there, The best place to report this kind of thing is through our support portal at http://help.houzz.com If you would like to send me a link to the user having this issue, you can shoot me a quick message at emily@houzz.com and I'll check it out as well.
