She gets up very early to get all the baking done, and then delivers them. She is often asked to do the fund raisers for schools or non-profits, and has taken as many as 1000 cupcakes at one time. And, yes, they taste every bit as good as they look.
She is currently having a van outfitted which will be a great help. It should be ready in a couple weeks.
Those are great! And I love that she works with butter cream instead of fondant. Real cake decorating is becoming a lost art with fondant, punch-outs and computer programs. Beautiful and tasty.
I always love seeing her masterpieces--and it's nice to see her, too. She's so fit and trim she must not be sampling her work :-) What a talent that girl has!!
I always love seeing her cakes, also. I don't know how she's so skinny. I'd weigh 200 pounds if my job was baking, lol. I suppose you don't have a taste for it if it's your job?
Oddly enough, she has never been a sweets lover; so even though she bakes them, she doesn't eat them. When she is trying a new one she has volunteer taste testers. I live about 40 minutes away or I would be happy to help out with that! She has always been small. Before she started the business she and her aunt walked about 5 miles every morning. Since she isn't doing that now she has gained a little.
She makes about 30 different kinds of cupcakes. Here are just two them.
