My 2 year old cat suffered acute renal failure after taking metacam. He was in the animal hospital for several days getting IV fluids. When he was discharged on March 20th the vet told me to give him 150ml of subq fluids every three days. His behavior is completely normal and he is eating. He is drinking somewhat more than usual. My husband gave Tater his sub q fluids today and their is a chance he gave him closer to 250ml! He weighs 14 lbs. My husband couldn't remember what line the fluid was at in the bag when he started. This is the first time he has gotten over 150ml. He seems to be acting fine. Is this okay? Any input?
