Thanks for your comments everybody, dominoswrath - We use compact superzooms (Canon SX30, S5-IS, S3-IS, and Fuji S100fs) and shoot in Manual mode, so our settings vary with nearly every shot or series. Here comes the trick,...I put the camera into a watertight pelican box, drilled holes, added snorkel for lens extension, fresnel and glued glass. Hocked up some wires, [needs soldering] with a motion sensor. Put camera very close to the branch.
