Rose Cake (pic)

I bought this pan awhile back and have been wanting to make a cake in it. I usually use an oil spray the first time I use these type of pans, but I forgot and still it came out without any problems. That is what I love about silcone pans.

I was in a hurry so I used a cake mix (shame on me!) that I doctored with buttermilk, pure almond extract, and vanilla bean. The batter tasted good so hope the cake does too. It smells heavenly. One box of mix filled a little over half the pan. I guess 2 boxes would be better.

DH & DS keep saying it smells good and are circling around it in the kitchen. I hope they (and me) can wait the 3 hours till dinner.
