1st photo - what are the red flowers?

I have a good month to go before my Irises bloom.

Hrm. I probably don't have anything you want, but in case I'm wrong, take a look at my trade list? I'm especially interested in the roof iris, although they all three interest me. I can provide photos of the hosta I have, but I don't know the names.

Your irises look great! What I see is a little leaf spot.. Not a lot and not enough to worry about. Just take your clippers and cut back the fans that have the spots if you want to. . Leaf spot lives in the soil.. Hot wet humid conditions is what brings it on.. It will not hurt your irises it will just make them ugly.. The outer leaves also usually brown and die back this time of year as well.. You can treat with a fungicide but its not necessary.

I have Jupiter's Beard too, but mine is more magenta colored.

Wow!! Your garden is beautiful. Love the purple iris. I live so far north,Michigan that there are a lot of flowers I can't grow here and how I would love to though. I have iris' but not for another month yet.
