The kitchen in the second picture has an 8 ft ceiling. I see 3 tiles plus a bullnose tile between counterp and upper cabinet. Assuming 18" between countertop and bottom of upper cabinets, those aqua tiles must be 4 inch tiles. Figure 4 and 1/8 inch per tile once you add on the space the grout line takes up. Then, I count 14 tiles from ceiling to countertop in the second pic. So 14 x 4.13 is about 58 inches. Add 36 inches for lower cabinets gives 94 inches. An eight foot ceiling would be 96 inches so that's pretty close. I think the bottom two pics show a 9 foot ceiling. The upper cabinets against the back wall are divided into two segment. The "display" part at the top is tall enough to hold a decorative plate turned on edge...so probably 12 to 16 inches. The closed part of the upper cabinet appears to be the same height as the base cabinets which are usually right at 36 inches. So 36" for base, 18" for space between uppers and lowers, 36" for uppers and 12 to 16" for display section at top of uppers puts you over 8 foot but not close to 10 ft. My guess is that the portion of the ceiling where the pendant lights attach is 10 ft high and that the soffits are about 14 inches deep to allow room for HVAC ductwork to run. Hope this helps.

I would never have guessed bamboo but then I have really never seen bamboo close enough to examine it.
