This is what I found out about Charles Grimaldi: "'Charles Grimaldi' Angel Trumpet is named after a Californian landscape designer, this 6 ft (1.8 m) tall hybrid cultivar ('Dr. Seuss' X 'Frosty Pink') has very large, pendulous, fragrant, pinkish yellow to salmon pink flowers, mainly from mid-fall (autumn) to spring. The first time we were at the Radisson Aruba, I had a case of hives that were seriously exacerbated by eating fresh fish. I woke up with swollen lips & hands and had to go to an Island doctor for a shot of Prednisone. The cab driver drove us over to the doctor's office, he waited for us to come out instead of making us call for another cab, drove us to a Pharmacy, and then back to the hotel. Talk about tourist friendly, that was a very nice way to deal with that fare. On that same trip, my husband strained his back and could barely walk. We were quite the sight - me covered in hives, him bent over and limping along. To make up for that less than perfect trip, 2 years later we went back (to the Radisson again) and managed to stay healthy for the week. A big snow storm hit the east coast and we were worried about getting back into Philly late and then having to shovel out the car. Luckily, days later when we returned to the States, most of the snow had melted and slid off the car and we were able to just drive over the snow plowed behind the car. This year the only thing we have planned is some time in Hilton Head.

1.) My perfect summer day would be spent in my (new to me) backyard, relaxing on my back porch. What a lovely realization it is, to know that my own backyard is now my favorite place to be! 2.) I would spend the day reading, and just "being". 3.) I would hear nothing but the neighborhood birds. 4.) I would see the plants I've put in, and the ones that came with the house--always a fun surprise, as what I thought were crocosmia turn out to be glads, etc. 5.) I'd be wearing shorts and a t-shirt, because--let's be realistic--I'm at home, and can dress sloppy if I want! 6.) Ice cold mint water, made with my own mint, would be my drink of choice. If you haven't tried it, make it today! Just put 5-10 sprigs of mint in a pitcher, add water, and mash with the handle of a wooden spoon. Let it sit for at least twenty minutes, then pour over ice. It is also fantastic in water bottles, especially when hiking. 7.) Food would be grilled veggies from the farmer's market. 8.) My companions would be my husband, and the dragonflies and hummingbirds that call my backyard home.
