Another sauce

So last night I make an amazing Jamaican sauce for chicken without even trying at it sort of just happened. But, tonight I am trying to make a rose sauce and it is really gritty looking. I am using milk at seems like there is cheese in there when there isn't. Would it still be okay to eat? I don't believe the milk is bad, tastes and looks fine. The sauce has olive oil, garlic, basil, tomato paste and milk. I will also add some parm. cheese.
